UKCF Quality Accreditation Passed!

We’re proud to share that we have officially passed Quality Accreditation 6 (QA6) – the latest round of the UK Community Foundations (UKCF) national Quality Accreditation Programme.

Running since 2007, the programme sets out the standards that underpin the vital work of the 47 community foundations that make up the UKCF network. Every member is required to achieve accreditation every three years, ensuring the network operates with consistency, credibility, and integrity.

Unique to UKCF and specifically designed for community foundations, the Quality Accreditation process provides our supporters, corporate partners, statutory funders, and the communities we serve with the assurance that we meet a rigorous set of standards.

At a time of global challenges and ongoing change within the voluntary sector, it’s more important than ever that community foundations can demonstrate their strength, trustworthiness, and commitment to connecting people who care with causes that matter.

This year, QA6 assessed us across a wide range of areas including governance, finance and investment management, operations, philanthropy, grant-making, and stakeholder engagement.

Reflecting on the news, Vicky Hickey, our Joint Chief Executive, said: “I am absolutely thrilled that we have passed QA6!

“Achieving Quality Accreditation status is very important to us — it ensures that we operate in line with the rest of the network and demonstrates to our stakeholders that we are held to, and meet, a high set of standards.”
