AI Statement
Wiltshire & Swindon Community Foundation recognises that artificial intelligence is a rapidly evolving technology with the potential to both significantly enhance and significantly disrupt how organisations work.
We do not see AI as inherently positive or negative. Its impact depends entirely on how it is used, governed, and understood.
Our approach is to remain open to innovation while staying grounded in our values and responsibilities as a charitable foundation. We will take a thoughtful, proportionate, and test-and-learn approach to AI, ensuring that any use of these tools supports our mission and strengthens, rather than replaces, human judgement and relationships.
We will continue to explore AI in a way that is aligned with our values; Brave, Representative, Informed, Collaborative, Kind, and Strategic. We will prioritise people, trust, and accountability in all decisions.
Our AI Policy is reviewed annually, with the flexibility to make updates throughout the year where needed to reflect the fast-moving nature of AI and emerging best practice. It guides our internal approach to using AI responsibly. As the technology and its governance evolve, we will adapt our approach accordingly.
