Funds

Funds are set up by individuals, families and companies. Funds allow donors to support their local charitable interests. The Community Foundation manages almost 100 Endowment Funds as well as “flow-through” funds which we distribute to local causes on behalf of the donor.

To apply for a grant from one of our Funds, you do not normally need to apply to an individual Fund. Simply complete one form and we will allocate it to the most appropriate Fund or Funds.

    Record number of grants made during 2009/2010

    Our final calculations for our end of year accounts have shown that we distributed £913,000 in grants to 255 groups during 2009/2010.
