Working with Professional Advisers
If you are a lawyer, accountant or financial advisor, you may already be aware of how the Community Foundation can assist by advising your clients on charitable giving.
Since 1991 the Community Foundation for Wiltshire & Swindon has helped individuals, families and companies discover the possibilities of philanthropy.
Community Foundations provide a flexible alternative to creating individual charitable trusts, which can prove complicated to set up and administer. A Community Foundation helps donors make informed charitable investment decisions, engage in important local community issues, or those close to their hearts, whilst providing tax benefits.
The Community Foundation for Wiltshire & Swindon is helping donors to fulfil their charitable goals and, in turn, is supporting vital community organisations to help those in need.
The Community Foundation has recently been quoted in "Coutts Million Pound Donors Report" and "Building Bridges, Philanthropy Strengthening Communities" produced by the Policy Exchange.
1. Do you have clients who care about their local community?
2. Are they interested in “giving something back”?
3. Are they considering setting up a private Charitable Trust to benefit the local community?
4. Are your clients Trustees of a local Trust that might benefit from the administrative skills at the Community Foundation?
5. Do your clients want to receive tax relief on their donations?
6. Is sound financial management of their charitable donations important to them?
7. Does your client wish to leave a legacy to benefit the local community?
If you can answer yes to any of these questions, then your clients would benefit from knowing more about the Community Foundation. We are happy to talk to advisers about our work, or meet with any clients who would be interested on knowing more.
